Everything on Earth!

A long time ago, my friend Colleen put together a little ditty about moving.  It goes:

Moving sucks.

Takes lots of bucks.

Moving sucks.

I don’t live in Chicago anymore, which is odd because I keep imagining my old routine and then waking up in a much bigger bedroom than the one we had in the city.  So far, I’m really freaking happy.  So is Bernhardt.  The things that should be easy ARE.  We have laundry in the apartment and a parking space.  We’re totally in the slow moving, easy south.  We are relieved.  Our brows are no longer furrowed.  We already both have tans.

And yet, we miss our friends.

Terribly.

I think the one thing we learned from this whole move is how lucky we are to have such an amazing group of family and friends.  So MANY people saw us off and helped us move.  For a girl who moved to Chicago and felt all alone for years, the entire process was amazing.  What a community we have!  It was everything I could have ever hoped for.(us two days before the move)
